In Borno State, 17 soldiers and Brigadier General Oseni Braimah were killed in coordinated assaults across Benisheikh, Ngamdu, and Pulka.

The General commanded the 29 Task Force Brigade and is among a growing number of high-ranking officers recently killed by terrorists, with tributes honouring his life and service pouring in.

In a statement, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu described the soldiers killed in Benisheikh as “unforgettable, irreplaceable heroes” and encouraged troops on the frontlines to remain hopeful.

A group of 176 abductees from the Woro community in Kwara State have resurfaced in a new video, pleading for the public and government to come to their rescue after more than two months in captivity.
