744 Ex-Terrorists Forgiven + Tinubu Dares Opposition on 2027 + Woman Accuses Hospital Of Baby Theft


Nigeria’s military has sparked mixed reactions after announcing that 744 former terrorists graduated from a 24-week de-radicalisation program under Operation Safe Corridor in Gombe State and will be reintegrated into society.

It remains controversial, raising concerns about forgiveness, public safety and whether authorities can prevent participants from returning to crime.

Meanwhile, Nigerian security agencies are on high alert after a leaked memo warned of a planned attack by ISWAP militants targeting Abuja’s Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, Kuje Prison, and a detention center in Niger State.

In another development, public reactions are growing after Bola Ahmed Tinubu delivered a combative speech at the State House in Abuja, declaring he is not afraid of the opposition and remains focused on his duties. He made the remarks while meeting with the Renewed Hope Ambassadors, a group tasked with spreading his message at the grassroots level nationwide.

During the speech, Tinubu took aim specifically at former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, accusing him of trying and failing to privatise the African Democratic Congress.

It comes as an old clip of the former Governor of Ondo State, the late Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu, spoke about the dangers of having a weak opposition.

In Benue State, armed men kidnapped a group of passengers, mostly believed to be JAMB students, after attacking a Benue Links bus travelling from Makurdi to Otukpo on Wednesday night.

In a similar vein, there is public outrage after allegations that a female candidate was forced to remove her hijab before sitting the UTME at the Esther Oshikoya Centre in Ibadan. A viral video claims hijab-wearing candidates were asked to remove them before entering the exam hall.

In Lagos, a woman accused a doctor at a Lagos hospital of keeping one of her twins after delivery despite scans suggesting a twin pregnancy.

The case has sparked unconfirmed trafficking claims, raising concern about trust in healthcare with experts noting scan discrepancies can occur but calling for an investigation nonetheless.
