South Africa Weather Today Update
Today, most of South Africa will enjoy dry and warm to very warm conditions, though areas along the eastern escarpment may see some cloud cover and light drizzle. A cold front is set to sweep across the extreme south, bringing strong winds along the south and east coasts and making for a blustery afternoon across much of the interior. KwaZulu-Natal and the Lowveld will swelter under very hot temperatures ahead of the front, but by Sunday, cooler air will move in behind the system, bringing relief to the south, KwaZulu-Natal Province, and the Highveld. The northern regions will largely remain dry and comfortably warm. Meanwhile, the South African Weather Service has issued fire danger warnings for the Northern Cape, Eastern Cape, Free State, and KwaZulu-Natal, urging residents to exercise caution as extremely high fire risk persists in these provinces.
