A series of security incidents across Nigeria has raised fresh concerns from Sokoto State, where a viral video shows families fleeing terrorist attacks in Bargaja village, Isa LGA, after a 1:30am raid reportedly killed two vigilantes.

Meanwhile, near Akure Airport in Ondo State, suspected terrorists sparked panic before a joint security operation arrested four suspects.

In Maiduguri, Borno State, troops of Operation Hadin Kai repelled suspected ISWAP fighters in a late-night gun battle after militants targeted military positions.

In foreign relations, preparations are underway for a historic UK-Nigeria State Visit, with President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu expected to arrive in the United Kingdom for the first official state visit between both countries in 37 years.

In another development from Owerri, Imo State, reactions have followed the arrival of Seyi Tinubu and his wife Layal Tinubu for a Renewed Hope Youth Engagement Tour empowerment event where items such as sewing machines, laptops, fridges and fertilisers were distributed.

Videos from the event later showed chaotic scenes as crowds surged to collect the items, with conflicting reports suggesting hoodlums may have disrupted the programme.

In Edo State, police have launched an investigation after disturbing videos showed a student being violently assaulted by classmates at Igbinedion Secondary School. The footage sparked outrage online, prompting the school to confirm that students involved in the attack have been expelled.

Parents of one of the boys seen in the video issued a public apology, describing the incident as deeply painful.

Finally, under good news, Nigerian-American student Oluwamodupe Oloyede is being celebrated online after joining the prestigious Delta Sigma Theta Sorority at Florida A&M University.
