2027: It Will Be Disastrous for Nigeria to Have an Uncontested Election - Nwankwo
The intention of the Electoral Act was to stop the courts from becoming the theatre for managing internal party affairs, as evidenced by Section 83 of the Electoral Act. It is sad that we have degenerated to a point where everyone goes to court to contest political party leadership. In our democracy today, virtually all parties are in court, tied up over issues of leadership or membership. It is my hope that the Supreme Court takes cognisance of Section 83, subsection C, in delivering justice. It appears that only one party is coasting to 2027 with any level of stability.
