UNC Students Scramble as Sirens Sound; Police looking for armed suspect on Campus
The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has issued an emergency notification on Wednesday afternoon about an armed or dangerous person on or near campus. Police have been told to be on the lookout for a suspect involved in an incident at Alpine Bagel at the UNC Student Union. A person was seen with a firearm near that location. People were seen leaving the student union. Video from the scene showed students evacuating and police cars parked along campus near the student union near the intersection of Stadium Drive and South Road. Chapel Hill-Carrboro Schools have locked all interior doors. Classes are continuing.
