African art patterns for kids

This African art for kids project explains how to create patterns using geometric shapes and lines. The materials used in this project are 9x9 "XL water color paper" sharpies and sax liquid glitter water color. Crayola markers can be used as a substitute for water color to simplify the coloring process. The resources I used along with a pre and post assessment can be found on my teachers pay teachers store just click on the link!

This was so fun to watch—love how you break African patterns into simple shapes and lines. My kids would be hooked, and the glitter watercolor idea is awesome.
