A high-stakes clash has intensified between the EFCC and the Osun State Government following the freezing of the state's bank accounts over an alleged ₦11 billion financial misconduct investigation.

Amid the brewing tension, Afrobeats megastar Davido held an urgent press conference in Osogbo, publicly appealing to APC Campaign Chairman Governor Hope Uzodimma not to turn Osun State into a bloody political battleground.

Meanwhile, Peter Obi joined Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde at the Methodist Church conference in Ibadan to urge religious leaders to continue speaking truth to power.
