There is still a lot we don’t fully understand about the scale of cyber threats we face, but the numbers are concerning. Reports suggest around 4,000 to 4,200 cyber attacks occur every month, roughly 24 attacks an hour, 12 every 30 minutes, and about 2 every 5 minutes. This shows how constant and serious the threat is. It raises serious concerns about how we protect our data. Both individuals and government institutions need to take data security more seriously. While these figures are based on official reports, including statements from the Minister, real numbers may even be higher, especially considering how frequently telecom and fintech systems are targeted. Many attacks are not publicly reported.
