Museveni defends decision to close UNHR office in Uganda
Ugandan President, Yoweri Museveni, has defended his country's decision to close the United Nations Human Rights office. He said they had developed their own capacity to monitor rights compliance.
Museveni also lashed out at western countries for criticising the Ugandan Parliament after it approved a bill that is likely to negatively impact the rights of the LGBTQIA+ community.
He has also touched on trade barriers between South Africa and Uganda, and a recent phone call with the Ukrainian President.
