Pan African, Sports and Cultural Day

Students and parents from Africa Bantu Saturday school and Alkebulan academy of excellence came together for an end of term Family sports and cultural day. The event took place on 4th July 2015 in Brockwell park south London. It started off with circle of unity and a libation message.

There was a friendly rivalry between the two schools as they competed at rounders’ hurdles and sprint races. Even parents took part in the activities, Africa Bantu came out on top winning majority of events and took the trophy as overall winners on the day, but this was more than just winning and losing, coming together in unity was the main essence of this event.

The organisers all spoke on the importance of building strong foundations for young people to develop and prosper
