Most AI tools, such as ChatGPT, are trained on English as well as other European and Chinese languages.

But as many African languages are mostly spoken rather than written down, there is a lack of text to train AI on to make it useful for speakers of those languages.

Researchers who have been trying to address this issue have recently released what is thought to be the largest known dataset of African languages.

On Tuesday, June 10, 2025, OpenAI’s widely recognized AI chatbot, ChatGPT, suffered a significant and widespread outage that impacted numerous users across the globe. According to the outage tracking website Downdetector, the disruption began to escalate in India shortly after 2:45 PM IST, with more than 500 users reporting difficulties in accessing the platform. In India, the majority of the issues—82% of the reported complaints—were tied directly to problems with ChatGPT’s core functionality. An additional 14% of users experienced issues with the mobile application, while 4% of the complaints were related to challenges with API integration.

InZOI is basically the Sims 5 if the Sims 5 was photo realistic and had AI and was called Inzoi. But like generative AI, Chat GPT stuff that can generate textures and animations, not just NPC AI. It's terrifying in a really REALLY funny way, but that's also what makes it so dystopian. Gen Alpha is cooked.

This incredible and enormous initiative, along with other spectacular projects like the building of a brand-new enormous Aquatic Center with a 10-lane swimming pool and two new multi-purpose halls for basketball, boxing, and badminton, is intended to get the nation ready for the African Games, which will be hosted by the Nations in 2023, to help with development and enhance sports and physical activities in the nation. A project of this size has a ton of fantastic advantages for the nation, particularly as Ghana attempts to grow and completely commercialize its tourism sector. In this video, I teach how to play Mancala--a fun, simple game with rocks and a special board with cups. (It used to be played on the ground, with little holes in the dirt.)

What is it about this game that almost every kid loves it? I think it's how tactile it is. It's really soothing to touch those rocks.

I also use it as a math game for grades K-2. There is some counting strategy involved when figuring out where to start.

I like that mixed ages, from K to adult, can play together and have it still be a pretty fair game. This is one of my top picks for after school programs or as a family game.
